I’m back from a very pleasant weekend plus up in New York. Went up there with my mom and Horia. We started by wandering around Chelsea where we saw some good big names of contemporary art including Gary Hume, Alex Katz, Sophie Calle, and Chuck Close. Also saw a really good Picasso show of the final series of Musketeers.
We followed that up with a Leonard Cohen concert at Radio City Music Hall. It was a very fine concert, he is getting older but hte voice that made him famous has not left him, and he is quite a showman.
The next day we saw “Exit the King” a Eugene Ionescu play on Broadway with Susan Sarandon and Geoffrey Rush. It was very good, but I was very sleepy and slept through part ofhte first act.
The rest of the weekend and week was spent in the company of good friends with the good fortune of having good weather.
These Ana (in absentia) and I recieved from my good friend Sarah Morgan. She made them for us after her (and Hunter’s) birthday party last year. They are beautiful and I just wanted to thank her for them again. (I also got a sweet shirt from her)
